Rules being a graphic designer

- If you want to create your own firm NEVER USE your name (it's to show that you can sell betting solely on using your artist name, it was that good in the past, but it's used for haute couture or perfumes).*
- follow the trend... but don't follow the trend... Don't do what everything is doing, good artist make good stuff but can make shit, If you copy, you make a copy of a shit, remember that ! Great name always sell because THEY ARE GREAT ALREADY !!!!
- Diversify what you do, try to explore new horizon.
- Be simple, people are not hyper clever, if they want to laugh, they laugh, if they have to think what you just wrote before laughing, you'll fail.
- IF you copy (almost everything is created already seriously) change it... I mean do something original !
- when you do a website, try on other screen (because omg I don't see the logo of your website on my phone or it's effing slow on my device).
- Think being humble, cool you did something superb that must be seen on a 40 inches screen a powerful computer, you are literally killing any opportunity for people to actually see what you are made off !
- Use contrast tones, pastel is more kiddish. I tried once to see something which was made with pastel colors, he said no, because the colors were washed and all (pastel lol). Vibrant work is superb on screen and all, using pastel tones will show that you hesitate, remember that. (You will be able to use pastel after, in the future, when the world will know you... or if your firm make pastels pen lol).
- Grab any opportunity to show what you can do (internship and all) because the never know who knew who...
- No drama (ooops I'm a drama queen, I fail on that one xD" ) Being a drama person only show that you are unstable.
- Don't forget being social, firms got a Facebook account, don't miss the opportunity that you can be a friendly person and how you are in real (almost 100% of the firm check Facebook now).

Ok, all of this is more WEB design, but I can tell you that it can extend easily to other jobs

* PS : Also remember that your name may already exist !!!!!
